Casey Deming (b. 1983) is an interdisciplinary artist based in Minneapolis, MN. Working primarily in multiples, Deming combines paper ephemera and archival material to produce collages, prints, and publications. He explores the haptic processes of collecting and making while expressing his love of books and nature through thematic and visual relationships in his subject matter. Collaborative inquiry and community engagement are foundational to his practice.

Deming has exhibited work at MirrorLab, PAPA Projects, The White Page Gallery, Chicago Artists Coalition, Art of This Gallery, and Madame of the Arts. His publications have been showcased at The Minnesota Center for Book Arts, the Chicago Art Book Fair, and the Printed Matter Art Book Fairs in New York and Los Angeles; they are included in the collections at the Walker Art Center Library, Hennepin County’s James K. Hosmer Special Collections, Carleton College’s Gould Library, and the MN Historical Society. Deming has received grants from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, The Jerome Foundation, and The Minnesota State Arts Board. In collaboration with Leslie Grant, he was a Coffee House Press: In the Stacks artist-in-residence at Carleton College (2018-19). Deming curated the Tuesday Series for Experimental Music in collaboration with John Marks (2008-2017) and was a featured musician and curator at the 2013 Minnesota Biennial.
